A routine dental cleaning (without any extractions) takes approximately 90 minutes.
A pre-dental exam helps to determine the amount of dental disease and associated costs for cleaning and/or extractions that may be necessary.
Dental cleaning with or without teeth extractions is considered a major procedure since your pet is under full (gas) anesthesia for the entire procedure. At Perry Hall Animal Hospital, we take every precaution to ensure that your pet can undergo anesthesia safely. Pre-anesthetic blood work is necessary (not optional) to ensure their safety and to determine the right combination of anesthesia to use during the procedure. We have registered technicians with advanced training, monitoring your pet's vital signs and progress during the procedure.
Your pet will recover comfortably in a secure cage with extra soft bedding and blankets and will be monitored and attended to during recovery.
