CLIENT CARE REPRESENTATIVE (RECEPTIONIST) JOB POSTING

Perry Hall Animal Hospital’s client care team is responsible for ensuring the satisfaction of all clients. CCR's act as a liaison between our veterinary team, our clients and veterinary colleagues. CCR's must be able to recognize what clients want or need, and find ways to fulfill those needs to satisfaction.
Staffing hours range from 8:00AM to 7:00PM (M), 9:00PM (T,W,Th), 6:00PM (F) and 2:00PM (Sat). We are currently closed on Sundays and major holidays. Due to the medical service nature of our industry, overtime hours and/or assisting patients and clients beyond regular hours are sometimes required without notice. The position we are looking to fill could have flexible scheduling and shifts depending on the applicant's schedule and our needs for adequate coverage.
Part-Time Position 20-30 hours/week
Full-Time Position 30-40 hours/week
Due to the nature of our business; veterinary medical care, there is a large base of medical and veterinary care knowledge required for this position. An in depth knowledge of general wellness care for dogs and cats is imperative. CCR's must be able to explain standards of care, and educate pet owners effectively about why preventive care is important. Recognition of common emergencies, and a general understanding of diseases, diagnostics and treatments is also required.
- 1+ years in the veterinary industry (receptionist, technician, assistant), general practice or emergency medicine. Ideal candidates possess at least 1 year as a veterinary receptionist.
-Strong knowledge of and/or ability to utilize veterinary software programs efficiently (Cornerstone preferred, but any veterinary software management system accepted).
-A friendly, outgoing and cheerful personality that is inviting and positive at all times
-Teamwork and a positive attitude and a general positive outlook on life
-Ability to build relationships with people and their pets to create an atmosphere of trust and likability
-Great attention to detail and ability to multi-task
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills, efficient computer and typing skills
-A true compassion for pets and the bond that owners have with their pets is required.
A Client Care Rep is HELD ACCOUNTABLE for:
-Ensuring that our clients feel welcomed and comfortable with and in our office by correctly handling them (and their pets) from the first telephone contact, through their arrival and treatment at the office and departure with another visit scheduled
-Keeping the appointment book full, rescheduled appointments to a minimum and patient flow smooth and efficient
-Ensuring we have happy, satisfied clients who adhere to the Doctor's recommendations for treatment scheduling and who refer other clients into the practice because they feel they’ve received excellent service
-Correctly routing the flow of patients and all communications within the office and being an integral role in the transfer of written and oral communication between the client and the doctor.
-Accurate collections and daily invoicing
$11-$17/hour strongly dependent on veterinary experience, skill set and desire for longevity or growth within the company.
